Camino HVAC, Plumbing Questions
Quick answers to common HVAC and plumbing questions from Camino homeowners. Don’t see what you need? Call us anytime.
Do you service Camino and the Apple Hill area?
Yes. Camino is part of our regular El Dorado County route along with Placerville, Diamond Springs, and Pollock Pines. Winter storms slow access on steep private drives, so we schedule mountain calls with extra travel time built in.
What heating system works best at Camino’s elevation?
Above 3,000 feet a straight heat pump loses capacity on the coldest nights. Most Camino homes do best with a propane or gas furnace, or a dual fuel setup that runs the heat pump in mild weather and switches to the furnace when temperatures drop. We size to your actual heat loss, not a rule of thumb.
How do I keep my pipes from freezing up here?
